How did your art journey begin?
HA: From the very beginning of my childhood I was an artist. Though my medium has changed as the course of my life has changed, since day one that I can remember, I was always an artist. Everything else seemed so hard but my art was a natural gift.
Is there a common theme throughout all your pieces?
HA: My art study is based off of the philosophy of imperfection.
Walk us through your creative process.
HA: Everything begins With a sketch. After I sketch a composition in my head, I then determine the best use of color for this story. From beginning to end it is always a constantly changing dialogue between myself and the canvas.
What inspired this specific collection?
HA: This collection is was inspired from my travels to Paris- where there are no rules, only day gazing and love.
How does your environment and surroundings influence your work?
HA: Everywhere I go I am surrounded by ideas. Just as there are flowers in life, there are also weeds. The journey is the find the beauty in all of it. That is my art study- the imperfection- and bringing that concept to life in a magical way through the beauty of harmony because without the good there is no bad and they both must co-exist.
What is next for you?
HA: I am currently producing my first coffee table book and so excited to share the 1,000's of hours I have spent painting all into one book that can sit on a beautiful coffee table and be a conversation piece.
