DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT VOL. 1
INTRODUCING:
CLARISSA BUTLER OF CB CREATIVE
APRIL 2022
Clarissa Butler is the founder and creative director at CB Creative, a lifestyle agency that focuses on art curation & consultation, interior design, and visual assets & branding.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with Clarissa to talk about all things creative, design, furniture, art, inspiration, and more. It is not shocking that we left feeling completely inspired and in awe of the work, Clarissa is doing.
How did you get started?
CLARISSA: I moved to L.A. right after college and got my start creatively working for film, art, fashion, and lifestyle brands. I’ve always been aesthetically driven and I started CB Creative Agency so that I could follow my vision.
How would you describe your style?
CLARISSA: Casual luxury, Urban Luxury, Urban Contemporary, Eclectic Contemporary. I love to put unexpected pieces together.
What do you look for in furniture pieces?
CLARISSA: Quality, craftsmanship, history, beauty, exclusivity.
Tell us about C.B. Creative and what services you offer.
CLARISSA: We work with our diverse portfolio of artists and craftsmen to develop and create original works for commercial and residential clients. Our scope of work involves interior and exterior design, large scale murals and sculptures, visual assets and brand identity, custom fabrications and content creation.

Where do you find inspiration? What is your creative process like?
CLARISSA: I find inspiration from art galleries, museums, music, movies, artists, nature and travel. I love the juxtaposition of nature vs. city and couture vs. street style.
What design trend are you loving right now?
CLARISSA: I’m loving the movement toward warmth and color. Interiors have been neutral for a longtime, so I’m excited that everyone is opening up to more maximalist design and color saturation.
What House of Morrison piece resonates with you? (ex. one that you always come back to? One that always catches your eye? etc.).
CLARISSA: Everytime I come in, I have a new favorite piece. No trip to their studio is the same, I always find a treasure. Right now I’m obsessing over the Brooks Console and trying to figure out which project it can work for.
